Several persons feared dead as transformer explodes in Plateau community

It has been reported that several people were feared dead following an electric transformer explosion in Gada Biu community in the Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state on Saturday, October 14, 2023.

Regards revealed that the incident which occurred around 3am. on Saturday had destroyed some residential buildings with shops in the area. Also the residents said that the transformer had exploded and had set fire to the surrounding structures and shops then leading to the death of its victims. Several sources from the community also confirmed the incident to newsmen in Jos on Saturday.

Also the Spokesman for Plateau State Police Command identified as Alabo Alfred, when contacted, explained that they were aware of the fire incident and also that an investigation into the matter had commenced in order to unravel what happened.
