A man who is yet to be identified has been electrocuted while he was repeatedly attempting to vandalise a transformer in the Oyigbo local government area of Rivers State.
The man’s lifeless body was seen lying very close to the transformer with some of his instruments just beside him in the early hours of Thursday, November 2, 2023.
An eyewitness revealed that the deceased and his accomplice had came to vandalise electrical wire installations from a transformer in a residential area popularly called Happy Life Street around 3a.m when the incident happened
According to him, the witness further disclosed that the deceased was unlucky as the Oyigbothe light was unexpectedly restored by Port-Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) at that very midnight while he was busy disconnecting the cables.
