Prison officer turned into a Prisoners

It has been reported that a HIV-positive prison officer who reportedly raped a child despite knowing he had the incurable virus (HIV) has now been locked up for 22 years.

50 years old Martin Richards reportedly molested the schoolgirl and further made her wait agonisingly to find out if she had contracted the disease.

It was further revealed that Richards was jailed at the Newcastle Crown Court on Monday, November 6, 2023.

It was also gathered that Richards admitted three charges of sexual assault on a child under the age of 13, causing a child to watch a sexual act and perverting the course of justice in relation to letters he sent to the victim’s family trying to get the charges dropped.

He was convicted by a jury of offences of rape, sexual assault and causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

On top of his 22 year jail sentence, Richards, of Choppington, Northumberland, must join the sex offenders register and abide by a sexual harm prevention order for life.
