Court remands 48-year-old married man for allegedly def!ling 3-year-old girl and d@maging her private part in Delta

A 48-year-old man identified as Papa Emeka, was on Thursday, January 11, 2024, remanded in Warri Correctional Centre for allegedly defiling a 3-year-old girl.

Activist, Comrade Israel Joe, who disclosed this in a Facebook post on Friday, January 12, said the mother of the victim was temporarily detained by the DPO B Division Warri, CSP Chris, over an attempt to settle the case out of court.

“Yesterday, the 11th of January, we successfully remanded a 48 years old man into the Nigeria Prisons (correctional centre) Okere Warri for allegedly destroying the private part of a 3 years old girl,” he wrote.

“Papa Emeka confessed that he used his hands meanwhile the doctor’s report proved the culpability of the said crímę. For Facebook community standard I won’t post the pics here.

“The mother of the girl was also detained temporarily by the DPO B Division Warri CSP Chris, for coming to beg that the case has been settled at home by other neighbours and the man would pay some monies.

“I just sat down and wonder how human beings think, and, this very actions has led us many times into losing cases of rape and defilements because they would either settle behind or fail to show up in court.

“I appreciate the DPO B Division, ASP Stella Ekpere and Commissioner of Police CP Wale Abas and the entire Nigeria Police Force for this.”
